Healthy workplaces start with people who feel supported. Tara Psychology partners with workplaces to provide confidential, high quality counselling through Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs).

How EAP Counselling Helps

EAP counselling improves employee wellbeing and strengthens workplace culture. It can increase engagement, reduce absenteeism, and improve retention. Employees gain strategies to manage challenges and clarify concerns.

Areas of support include:

  • Stress and burnout

  • Anxiety and low mood

  • Work-life balance concerns

  • Relationship and communication difficulties

  • Grief and loss

  • Adjusting to change

  • Workplace conflict and performance challenges

  • Career counselling for employees navigating transitions, workplace stressors, or decisions about their professional direction.

Our Approach to EAP

  • Professional Standards - Services are delivered by an AHPRA registered psychologist working within professional and ethical guidelines.

  • Personalised - Sessions are tailored to each individual.

  • Accessible - Sessions are available in-person in Footscray or telehealth Australia-wide.

  • Continuity - Employees who find the sessions helpful can choose to continue privately after their EAP allocation.

  • Confidential - Sessions are strictly private, providing employees a safe and non-judgemental space to talk openly.

How Employees Access Support

Employees can contact Tara Psychology directly, or with their consent, a manager or HR representative can also facilitate a referral. All referrals remain confidential and no personal details are shared with the employer without the employee's consent.

Next Steps for Employers

Organisations can choose a simple pay-per-session model, or arrange a package that suits their team. Most employers offer 3 to 6 sessions per employee, and tailored packages can be set up to match the needs of your workplace.
